These pics were taken at the school we visited, and taught at, on Tuesday. Jamie and Tricia were assigned to team teach in a 1st grade classroom. It was a very eye-opening experience, seeing these students who come from all parts of New Orleans to attend school. None of these kids went to this school prior to the storms.
 

Tuesday Pictures from the 9th Ward

These are all pictures from the ninth ward, one of the worst hit areas during the huricanes. Unlike the area we were at gutting a house yesterday that seemed to slowly be coming back to life, this area was like a ghost town. We went block after block rarely seeing a soul. It was a life-changing experience. What a challenge this city has ahead of it!
